BIRMINGHAM, Ala. —

October marks breast cancer awareness month, and the Jefferson County Courthouse is helping with that mission by displaying a temporary mural that puts a spotlight on survivors and their journey battling the disease.

The mural, titled "Women on the Journey," is sponsored by Virtue, Inc. and aims to symbolize the universal battle against breast cancer, emphasizing that it can affect anyone at any time.

Those behind the artwork say breast health is important at all ages and should be taken seriously by people from all walks of life.
