OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Family members and others are arguing for clemency in the death penalty case of Tremane Wood, the Oklahoma City man convicted of a 2002 murder.
The man murdered was 19-year-old Ronald (Ronnie) Wipf at a motel near 7400 South May Avenue.
It was an attempted robbery that ended in Wipf's death.
Tremane and his brother Jack planned to show up on New Year's Day in the early morning and rob both Wipf and the man with him at the time, Arnold Kleinsasser.
Kleinsasser and Wipf were farm workers from Montana who stopped in Oklahoma City after visiting their family. They were headed to continue working down in Texas for a harvest crew.
Court records showed that the two allegedly paid two women for sex the night prior, Brandy Warden and Lanita Bateman.
