ST. LOUIS (WSIL) -- The DEA St. Louis Division, along with law enforcement agencies throughout Missouri, Kansas, and Southern Illinois, will host the 29th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 25. The event will feature 186 locations where people can safely dispose of unused and expired prescription medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This initiative aims to prevent prescription drug misuse and reduce accidental overdoses by providing nearly 4,000 collection sites nationwide. The DEA will accept tablets, capsules, patches, and other prescription drug forms, but not syringes, sharps, or illicit drugs. Liquid products should remain in their original containers.
