AMERICAN FORK, Utah (ABC4) — A search and rescue effort is underway after a rock climber fell 20 feet in American Fork Canyon.

According to Sgt. Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff's Office, the climber is a 37-year-old male. He was not climbing at the time of the incident; he was a bystander, watching other people climb, when another climber ran into him, making him fall.

The climber fell 20 feet. He was near Little Mill Campground at the time.

Utah County Search and Rescue is on scene. No additional information is available at this time.
