LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Churchill Downs is preparing to transform one of its most visible sections of the racetrack with a new four-story structure designed to elevate the fan experience and hospitality offerings.
The project, called Victory Run, will be built on the first turn between the First Turn Club and Skye Terrace, replacing uncovered box seats and dated dining areas with a mix of private suites, indoor and outdoor dining, and covered box seating. The new structure will increase capacity from about 6,400 seats to roughly 7,800.
Pending city and state approvals, including incentives from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) expects construction to begin after the 2026 Kentucky Derby, with completion scheduled in time for the 2028 Kentucky Der
