It’s not often you think about bringing a flashlight to a hockey game.

The opening puck drop between the Montreal Canadiens and the Calgary Flames was delayed approximately 10 minutes as lighting issues persisted inside the Scotiabank Saddledome on Wednesday night.

After waiting around for a resolution, officials decided to start the game inside the dimly lit arena with most of the lights over the ice still shut off.

Flames netminder Dustin Wolf dealt with the difficult circumstances just two minutes into the game, making a point-blank save to keep the Canadiens off the board.
