SHREVEPORT, La. — Shreveport police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man they say stole a pickup truck and trailer, only to have his face recorded by the vehicle's dash camera.

The incident occurred early on Sept. 15 at a business on Line Avenue. Police say the suspect stole a Dodge Ram truck, which was hitched to a trailer. The suspect damaged the trailer in the process of the theft.

Unbeknownst to the thief, the truck's dash camera recorded his face and the entire sequence of the crime.

Police have released the image captured by the camera and are urging anyone who recognizes the man to contact the Shreveport Police Department immediately.
