LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Periods of rain and thunderstorms are expected to impact outdoor events and activities across parts of Central Arkansas this weekend.

An upper-level storm system is expected to bring good rain chances across the state this weekend.

When will the storms arrive?

Beginning on Friday night and lasting through Sunday, there will be occasional showers, and even a few thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.

What should I expect?

A moderate, steady rain is forecasted to begin on Friday over western and northern Arkansas and slowly spread eastward Friday night into Saturday.
