Meander Valley announced Mark Johnson, a 200-gamer and life member at SFL club Sorell, will join the club on a permit allowing him to play up to seven games for the Suns in 2026.

During his time with the Eagles, he won a senior club best and fairest in 2019, captained the side in 2021 and 2022 and was vice-captain for the three seasons prior.

Johnson also played a season in the NWFL with Wynyard in 2023.
