A car crashed through the front of a Downtown Chattanooga bank on Wednesday evening.
The incident happened around 7:00pm at the Bank of America on West MLK Boulevard, our crew on scene says.
A witness at the scene told us he's an employee of the bank and had already left for the day when he got a text message about the crash.
He says he was shocked to find out his desk was only feet away from where the car eventually came to a halt.
He shared with us security footage that shows the moment the car was heading south down Chestnut Street, appeared to attempt a left turn across MLK Boulevard, and instead hopped a curb and crashed into the glass doors of the bank.
Another witness tells us it appeared the driver of the vehicle suffered a medical emergency and lost consciousness.
