DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WPRI) — Officials in Dartmouth have released the 911 calls that came in after a plane crashed on I-195 last week.

"Hi. I'm on the highway, I'm on 195 right now and I just saw behind me an explosion, I believe. It looks like fire and a lot of smoke," one caller said

"It looks like a plane just crashed on Reed Road," another caller said. "We just saw a big plume of flames and smoke."

According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the single-engine Socata TBM 700 crashed into the woods by the highway in the area of Exit 19, and the fuselage ended up in the median.

"The thing exploded all across the highway,” a different caller said. “I’m a paramedic, I’m getting out. I was coming home from work, yeah, just, the thing is in pieces."
