All My Hero Academia fans love Katsuki Bakugo, or at least the majority, myself included. His relentless drive, confidence, and character development have made him one of anime’s best modern heroes. Due to this, his return to the battlefield in Season 8, Episode 3 felt like a long-awaited triumph for both himself and the series as a whole.

However, despite his spectacular comeback, the series may have risked undercutting the most powerful emotional moment in the franchise. My Hero Academia doesn’t hesitate to explore pain, loss, and sacrifice, elements that have helped propel the story into international stardom. Yet, the latest episode may have risked those very themes, weakening the story’s legacy.
