DISCUSSION: Today will be mainly dry, but a stray shower or storm can't be ruled out, particularly in western counties. Temperatures will warm back into the low to mid 80s during the afternoon under partly cloudy skies. Cloud cover will increase on Friday along with rain chances. A couple of models have some shower and thunderstorm activity around tomorrow morning in areas north of I-20, but uncertainty is high on this solution. Regardless, rain chances will increase substantially late Friday into Saturday. Heavy rainfall is certainly possible with the potential for amounts of 2-4 inches. Much of the rain will begin to clear out by Sunday morning.
