The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Thursday for the ninth time in 10 days, decreasing 1.2 cents to $4.641.

The average price has dropped 7.5 cents over the past 10 days, including 1.3 cents Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six consecutive days, rose one-tenth of a cent Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.

The average price is 5.5 cents less than one week ago and 9 cents lower than one month ago but 7.7 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.852 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price also dropped for the ninth time in 10 days, decreasing 1.3 cents to $4.591. It has fallen 9.5 cents over the past 10 days, including 1.8 cen
