While reading about President Donald Trump’s many projects to “improve” the White House, I’m reminded of the Roman emperor Nero, who allegedly “fiddled while Rome burned.” The average American can’t sleep at night, worried about his/her job, health care, etc. Trump, however, blames everything on Democrats and anyone else but himself. Meanwhile, he “loves the sound” of bulldozers tearing down the East wing of the White House (“ Trump: It’s ‘music to my ears’ as White House ballroom construction begins ,” Oct. 22). He could at least try to focus on helping his fellow Americans.
