Pulaski County, the hosting school and number one seed of the tournament, went ahead 2-0 over crosstown rival Somerset and looked to be on their way to the clean sweep. However, after facing that impossible hole, the Jumpers caught fire and never cooled off, storming back for a 3-2 reverse sweep (12-25, 17-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-12) to claim their first-ever district title in program history.
