Property owners in the Cascadia general improvement districts will have to petition for inclusion into the district if they wish to develop within the districts.
The Greeley City Council on Tuesday passed an ordinance enacting a new chapter in the city code requiring inclusion, as well as measures to increase project transparency. Community Development Director Brian McBroom presented the second reading of the ordinance, which he called the “Guardrails Ordinance.”
The ordinance requires all future properties within the recently approved general improvement districts to petition to be included in the district upon submitting development-related applications.
