CARRBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Carrboro woman who had been missing was found safe Thursday night, Orange County officials said.
Earlier, a Silver Alert had been issued for Maree Ravellette, 83. She was last seen at home in Carrboro on Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. and was last seen wearing a white shirt, gray pajama pants, and a blue denim jacket.
Police said earlier that Ravellette was believed to suffer from a cognitive impairment.
The Carrboro Police Department said Ravellette was being medically evaluated.
The Carrboro Fire-Rescue Department, Orange County Emergency Management, South Orange Rescue Squad, NC Emergency Management, Wake K9, and Southern Pride Search Dogs assisted police with the search.
