Hello,
It’s probably safe to say that Greater Manchester isn’t known for its opera. Or its public schools.
But all that could soon change with the establishment of English National Opera in Manchester and Eton in Oldham . But there are stumbling blocks already.
The Eton project has been a sore subject since its announcement and critics say its “the wrong fit for Oldham”.
The government halted the plans for Eton Star Academy for underprivileged children last year, deciding to review its ‘value for money’ and there’s still no update.
