AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Augusta leaders are holding the first of four workshops Thursday to address the city’s $21 million budget deficit .
The first workshop runs from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Augusta-Richmond County Municipal Building, 535 Telfair St. The public can participate in the conversations about solving the budget shortfall.
As shutdown persists, local food banks brace for higher demand
The government shutdown has reached 23 days, making it the second longest in history, with no signs of ending soon.
Three additional workshops are scheduled:
Monday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Nov. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Nov. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m.
All workshops will be held in the commission chambers at the municipal building.
