GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - A radio icon in northeast Wisconsin is officially "hanging up the headphones" after decades on local airwaves with Y100 and Midwest Communications.

Dan "the man" Stone gave his final send-off on Y100 WNCY on Thursday morning and thanked the many fans for their support over the years. "After 54 years in this crazy business, I'm ready to call it quits."

Stone, who is from Marquette, Michigan, has been on the radio for over five decades and has been with Midwest Communications since 1991. "The man" is known for his weekday morning show on Y100 from 9 to 11 a.m.
