HONDO, Texas — A former Hondo teacher is facing charges, accused of sexual misconduct with a student after an alleged incident at Hondo High School, police said.

Hondo Police Department said in a news release it was contacted by Hondo ISD about an allegation of misconduct involving a Hondo High School teacher. Police say they gathered enough evidence to arrest 23-year-old Thomas William Ricker Hill. He was reportedly arrested Thursday morning and charged with the following offenses:

Indecency with a Child by Sexual Contact (Second-Degree Felony)

Sexual Performance by a Child (Second-Degree Felony)

Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student (Second-Degree Felony)

Police say he was booked into the Medina County Jail and he no longer employed by Hondo ISD as of Wednesday.
