KALAMAZOO, MI –– Joey and Jenna Gamrat aren’t going anywhere — well, not far, at least.
Their two downtown Kalamazoo restaurants are moving, but will still be downtown.
“The experience has been one for the books. I’ll say that,” Joey Gamrat said. “We never expected to move two restaurants at the same time.”
The Gamrats are owners of The Grazing Table, which opened in 2021 and Copper’s Dog House, which opened in October 2024.
Due to the sale of the Kalamazoo State Theatre, The Grazing Table was forced to relocate, finding a home a block up the street at 123 E. South St. It’s the former home of Pincanna, a cannabis store.
As for Copper’s Dog House, Gamrat found the restaurant’s window shattered on Aug. 6, at the peak of busy season.
