HONOLULU (Island News) – A recent child recovery operation in Hawaii, called Operation Shine the Light, led to the safe recovery of 10 missing children and youth, according to the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General and the Hawaii Department of Human Services.

The operation, which took place over the past weekend, focused on rescuing endangered children and youth reported as “runaways” across Oahu. The effort involved multiple agencies, including the Honolulu Police Department, FBI, and U.S. Marshals Service.

“Protecting our keiki is our highest priority in the Hawaii Department of the Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force,” said ICAC Commander Edward Arias.
