The RCMP says a 15-year-old boy has been charged with terrorism and child pornography offences.
On Oct. 2, Mounties arrested a 15-year-old who was at the Edmonton Youth Offender Centre for a fear of terrorism offence in connection to an incident in February.
The teenager was initially arrested on May 12 by Canada’s national security police, the RCMP Federal Policing Northwest Region’s National Security Enforcement Team (INSET).
“Following the youth’s initial arrest, an investigation including a forensic examination of their personal electronic devices was completed, and evidence was gathered to support the additional charges announced today,” said the RCMP in a statement.
