Archer knocks out East Coweta in playoff match

East Coweta’s postseason run came to an end Tuesday as the Lady Indians fell 3-1 to Archer in the first round of the Class 7A state volleyball playoffs.

After dropping the opening set, East Coweta battled back to even the match before Archer’s front line took control in the final two sets. The Tigers advanced with scores of 25-19, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17.

The Lady Indians finished the 2025 season with a 15-21 overall record and a 3-1 mark in Region 2-6A play, placing third in the region. East Coweta went 6-6 at home and 6-7 at neutral sites.

Woodward Academy defeats Northgate in state playoff match

Northgate’s volleyball season ended Wednesday with a 3-0 loss to Woodward Academy in the first round of the GHSA Class 5A state tournament.
