LOS ANGELES — Netflix announced Thursday that the two-hour series finale of " Stranger Things " will receive a limited theatrical release, marking the first time an episode from a Netflix series will be shown in movie theaters.
The final episode, titled "The Rightside Up," will premiere simultaneously on Netflix and in more than 350 theaters across the United States and Canada on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, with screenings continuing through Jan. 1, 2026.
Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer expressed enthusiasm about the theatrical release.
