SOUTH BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- In the heart of the South Bronx, a one-of-a-kind orchestra is transforming lives through the power of music and sisterhood.

The Bronx Global Learning Institute for Girls is an all-girls public charter school where every student learns a string instrument beginning at age five. Their mission goes far beyond music; it’s about confidence, culture, and leadership.

They need help with funding and new instruments.

Founded by visionary Shirley Rodríguez-Remeneski and guided by leaders like Victoria Jenn Rodriguez and Principal Kevin Morris Jr., the school has created a movement where young Black and Latina girls find their voice, their rhythm, and their place in the world.
