An exiting storm system will bring rain and mountain snow to northern New Mexico Friday. Cooler air also moves in before warming up this weekend.

Storms are moving through northern and eastern New Mexico this afternoon as a storm system moves into the state. Some of these storms could turn strong or severe through late this evening, with hail and gusty winds the biggest threats. It's also been breezier today in western New Mexico where drier air has started moving in. Winds will die down tonight, but a few isolated storms will continue across eastern New Mexico until after midnight.
