BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Keep the jacket handy! We have another cold night on the way with temperatures tumbling into the 40s for lows. Temperatures could fall into the low 40s in outlying areas. We’re starting to see some high clouds drifting in from the west and some of these clouds will mix in on Friday. Otherwise, plan for another very nice fall day, with highs in the 70s.

THE NEXT BIG THING: Dry weather is expected for Saturday, but the next storm system is on the way. Saturday will be nice and dry for the Magic City Classic and other events happening around the state. However, rain moves in on Sunday, and it looks like a good soaking, with occasional rain throughout the day and into the evening. Highs will be in the 60s, and the potential for over an inch
