VELVA, N.D. (KMOT) - Velva-D-A-G football claimed yet another region title despite losing the core skill players from both the 2022 and 2024 Dakota Bowl victories. The Aggies’ lone loss came in week two at Harvey-Wells County, 10-8. Since that game, V-D-A-G is outscoring opponents 230-44.
“I thought our kids responded after that loss there in week two. They’ve continued to get better. I thought our focus in practice has been really good. You’re not waiting for it, but you know the opportunity in the playoffs is there. Now we’re into that week, and I think our focus has been really good this week as well,” said head coach Matt Weidler.
