BEAVER, WV (WVNS) -- With cooler temperatures becoming the norm, people are thinking about how to keep themselves cozy.
There are several options for keeping yourself and your home warm including a typical heating system, space heaters, or a fireplace.
However, there are always risks to be on the lookout for when using any of these methods.
Will Davis, Public Information Officer for the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department, said fireplaces are one of the riskier methods.
"And a fireplace is a wonderful thing. It's beautiful, it's a great source of heat, but it can also be a source of carbon monoxide as well as the possibility of a chimney fire.
