Tonight provides mostly clear skies which will enable temperatures to plummet - all the way down into the low 30s - hence why freeze warnings are in effect for areas still in the growing season. The last time we dropped to freezing in Beckley was all the way back on April 17th - needless to say, it's been a minute since we have been this cold at night! With a light wind still from the west, wind chill values will still occasionally drop down into the 20s!
Friday will be dry once again as our good weather fortune for high school football continues. Despite plenty of sunshine expected, it will be a chilly day with high temperatures only in the low 50s - we should be in the low 60s this time of year.
