STERLING, Conn. (WFSB) - State police say they responded to a swatting call on Main Street in Sterling.
Troopers first responded to a residence on Main Street to investigate a suspicious incident after dispatch received a call reporting a disturbance at the home.
State police say they believe this was a swatting call. Swatting is when someone makes a fake emergency report to send a heavily armed police response to another person’s address.
State police say one person was arrested for a separate reason unrelated to the swatting call. They did not provide more detail on this arrest.
