The Youngstown Edison Incubator Corporation (Youngstown Business Incubator) is set to receive $35,000 in grant funding from the Ohio EPA Environmental Education Fund.

Five other Ohio organizations were awarded grant-funding, with all of the grants together totaling at $150,000. The Environmental Education Fund focuses on projects that engage students in agricultural technologies, environmental careers and solving real-world challenges.

The business incubator's grant funding will go toward a project called Beyond the Classroom: Virtual Reality Exploration of Environmental Careers. The project uses virtual reality experiences to introduce students to environmental careers and highlight local roles in fields like water quality, renewable energy and environmental testing.
