In Vienna Township fiscal officer Jason Miner's resignation letter, he voiced concerns over Trustee Phil Pegg claiming he'd been hostile to new ideas.
"I don't think so," Pegg said. "I do not believe that the current fiscal officer knows what occurs in a township," he said.
Miner also claimed Pegg should have admitted guilt for lack of oversight when former fiscal officer Linda McCulough was stealing funds from the township.
"People think that the fiscal fficer answers to the trustees. They do not," Pegg said. "There's very little that the trustees can do to force them to do their jobs even," he said.
Pegg was accused of "ethical violations," but Miner did not go into detail on those. Pegg believes it may have stemmed from an incident where he spoke with one of Miner's mentors, asking
