BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - We turned the page to September, and all of a sudden, the faucet shut off. Week after week of dodging the triple digits turned to an October filled with near record highs, and fall lovers lamenting the 10-day forecast day after day.

Finally, friends, some changes are coming. October has arrived, in more ways than one.

Believe it or not, October is seasonally our wettest month of the year, averaging right around 4″ of rain over the course of the month. Thus far, we are sitting at a goose egg + a trace of rain we saw with last weekend’s front.

Could we collect all 4″ of that rain this coming weekend? It’s possible, but more likely we get about half that. Either way, this is set to be the biggest
