Sullivan, N.Y. — A helicopter and several ambulances responded to a serious car crash in Madison County Thursday night.
Around 8:40 p.m., police, firefighters, and emergency medical crews were called to the area of Perryville Road and Mohr Road in the town of Sullivan for a two-car crash, according to Madison County 911 Center dispatches.
Responders at the scene said at least five people needed medical evaluations. One person was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters, dispatchers said.
A Mercy Flight helicopter was requested and later landed near the Yellow Brick Road Casino off Route 5 to airlift a person who was seriously injured.
Around 9 p.m., police reported that three patients would be taken to hospitals by ambulance and one by helicopter.
