MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A 40-year-old man facing charges including driving drunk after allegedly fleeing from police early Thursday morning on the city’s north side, the Madison Police Department reported.
At around 1:30 a.m., an MPD officer saw a vehicle speeding and pulled it over.
MPD said the driver, Barry K. Harrison, refused commands to leave his vehicle. More officials were called in to assist with the traffic stop. When they arrived, MPD said they put tire deflation devices around Harrison’s vehicle to prevent him from driving away.
Officials said Harris later sped away but was not able to drive far because his tires deflated.
Harrison then got out of his and attempted to run into a residential neighborhood.
He was arrested about less than half of a mile away from where he was
