Changes could be afoot as part of Lidl’s latest attempt to gain planning permission in Middlesbrough . Labour Councillor Luke Henman has asked Lidl to make a change to the plans that the company has submitted for its proposed new store in Linthorpe .
Cllr Henman represents Acklam ward, which is home to Thackeray Grove - currently due to be shut as part of Lidl’s plans. Lidl has resubmitted its proposal for a store on the former Northern School of Art site on the corner of Green Lane and Roman Road.
The plans are currently under consideration by Middlesbrough Council ’s planning department and are expected to be either green lit or thrown out by the authority planning committee in the new year - before which time Cllr Henman hopes to have secured an amendment. Past plans for thi
