Following the announcement of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate , the Mahagathbadhan in Bihar is gearing up to unveil its joint election manifesto on October 28. The manifesto will combine Tejashwi Yadav’s key promises, including jobs and livelihoods for every household, with the Congress’s pledges, such as free electricity and subsidised gas cylinders.

Tejashwi Yadav will release the manifesto along with leaders from the opposition alliance's constituent parties.

According to RJD sources, an agreement on the opposition alliance’s manifesto was reached following yesterday’s announcement, weeks after a seat-sharing tussle among constituent parties ahead of the high-stakes elections.
