A 35-year-old man allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Goregaon East, Mumbai, on Thursday. Preliminary investigations suggest that he may have taken the extreme step due to depression.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Shilesh Mishra, a driver residing in Santosh Nagar. His body was found hanging from a ceiling fan using a rope around 1:30 a.m.
A neighbour, sensing something was wrong, alerted the Dindoshi police. Officers arrived at the spot and found Mishra’s body hanging from the ceiling fan hook.
Police said Mishra’s wife had left him about three months ago and had gone to her parents’ house. He had repeatedly requested her to return, but she refused. Before his death, both families had arranged a meeting to resolve the dispute, but no decision was rea
