(FOX40.COM) -- Three people were arrested after law enforcement discovered nearly $350,000 worth of stolen construction equipment at a homeless encampment, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office. • Video Above: Most commonly reported crimes in the U.S.
After a series of thefts that targeted construction sites and county projects throughout Sacramento County, SCSO said they began to investigate the reports.
"These crimes affect private businesses and had a serious impact on the County’s Civil Engineering Department with ongoing infrastructure projects," SCSO said.
