(FOX40.COM) — Passengers flying Alaska Airlines should check their flight status, as the airline's IT outage is still impacting some flights.
The airline announced on Thursday evening that it was "experiencing an IT outage affecting operations. A temporary ground stop is in place. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you're scheduled to fly tonight, please check your flight status before heading to the airport," in an 'X' post.
The system-wide group stop for Alaska and Horizon flights was lifted at 11:30 p.m. However, more than 229 flights were cancelleddue to the outage and may still be affecting flights on Friday.
Guests are advised to check their flight status regularly before heading to the airport. The airlines said that "additional flight disruptions are likely as we reposition
