A man was arrested and accused of stealing a truck from a dealership in Fairfield following a low-speed pursuit, police said Thursday.

Police said they responded to the 2500 block of Martin Road at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday regarding a glass break at a local dealership. Surveillance video showed a man shatter the glass, enter onto the show floor and leave, apparently empty-handed, according to authorities.

About an hour later, at 11:10 p.m., officials report an officer passed a white truck with no plates. The driver began to repeatedly flash his headlights at the officer in what appeared to be an attempt to bait her, but when the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver failed to yield, initiating a low-speed pursuit, according to authorities.
