A care home where staff were “run off their feet” has been placed in special measures.
Pine Lodge Care Home has been rated “inadequate” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an inspection where “widespread and significant shortfalls in leadership” were found.
The service, based in Key Street, Sittingbourne, is operated by Eleanor Healthcare Group and provides care to up to 59 older people, including those living with dementia, across two buildings.
Inspectors carried out visits from July 15 to July 21, where they identified four breaches of regulations in relation to safe care and treatment, dignity and respect, staffing and good governance.
A spokesperson for Eleanor said since the inspection, it has taken “comprehensive action” to address all areas identified for improvement
