A couple has shared the shocking moment they came home to find a real estate agent driving their car.

The agent was taking photos of the property in preparation for a viewing, when one of the tenants arrived home and discovered their personal vehicle was being used without permission or prior warning.

Relaying the unbelievable moment on a Facebook group dedicated to rental nightmares, the tenant - who chose to stay anonymous - asked for advice on whether they should "name and shame" the agent.

"Our rental is going to be sold, no worries we prepared it for photos to happen today and viewings on this Saturday," they wrote.

"Partner has come home this afternoon to the real estate agent driving our personal vehicle...you read that right...driving our personal vehicle."
