MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- City Council will have a very different look come January, 2026.
That’s because voters will have before them in the ballot box this November four candidates seeking four City Council seats. Only one of those candidates, Matt Metyk, is currently a City Council member.
Councilman Donald Manno and Councilwoman Susan Sabetta, because they have reached their three-consecutive-term limit, cannot run for re-election.
Meanwhile, Councilman Michael Ballistrea, due to an issue pertaining to the gathering of signatures on his Cuyahoga County Bpard of Elections petitions, was disqualified from running.
In October, 2024, Metyk was chosen by council members to fill the remaining term of Robert DeJohn, who resigned from his position on council to move to Texas.
