Happy Friday! We're starting the day with cloudy skies and rain showers in western Missouri. These rain showers will slowly expand eastward through the morning, although it may be a slow start given a dry airmass across Central Missouri. Still, rain and gloomy weather can be expected today through Sunday.

While rain showers are likely today, it's not going to rain all day long. In fact, the dry air east of Highway 65 may make rain scarce today in Central Missouri. However, this isn't a day deal, and we can expect the occasional showers and cloud cover through the weekend.

Because of the dry air, rainfall totals have backed off from earlier estimates. Areas in western Missouri could still pick up an inch or more of rain over the next 3 days, but areas east of Highway 65 may struggle to ga
