LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Michigan State Police will be hosting a drug takeback event on Saturday, October 24.
Drug takeback day allows people to dispose of any old or unwanted prescription drugs.
The event aims to keep drugs out of the hands and mouths of children, pets, and anyone at risk of addiction.
Last year, police across the state collected more than 1,000 pounds of unused prescription drugs.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at any Michigan State Police post.
